The Magicians

The Magicians is not on a subscription service in the US right now, but you can rent or buy it on Prime Video, Apple TV, Google Play and Fandango. Cinova checks this every time you open the show page.

The Magicians has a Cinova Score of 7.5 out of 10 from 127 ratings. That puts it at #222 in Drama and #355 of all shows on Cinova. Every rating comes from a real person ranking it against the other titles they have seen, so the number is a decimal, not a rounded star count.

Brakebills University is a secret institution specializing in magic. There, amidst an unorthodox education of spellcasting, a group of twenty-something friends soon discover that a magical fantasy world they read about as children is all too real— and poses grave danger to humanity.

The Magicians was created by Sera Gamble and released in 2015. It stars Olivia Taylor Dudley, Arjun Gupta and Stella Maeve.

Open The Magicians in the Cinova app, tap Rate, pick a bucket (Exceptional, Excellent, Good, Mediocre or Poor), then answer a few quick head to head picks against shows you have already rated. Cinova turns those picks into a decimal score that is yours, and slots The Magicians into your personal ranking.
